So, tomorrow is Valentine's day.
Who's excited???

On the most romantic day of the
year,may people will be doing many many things. (Lol)
Relationship people will now start to receive flowers,candy, cards and gifts. Some people will buy things for themselves and pretend it is from bae (Don't be deceived abeg).
LDR People like us already have a date with our beds. I'll be sleeping like a normal human being and not stalking social media people to cry because, there'll be plenty lovey dovey pictures. So, I'll put off my data and have my peace or, watch a movie while low-key waiting for one of my friends to call to announce her marriage proposal aso-ebi is hungrying me abeg. Just as I said, my data shall be OFF. (SO HELP ME LORD).

Instead, I'm here to share gift ideas. We are tired (ok lemme speak for myself). I am tired of seeing the regular teddy bears, chocolates and perfumes abeg and,I read somewhere of singlet and boxer gifts too. Ahn ahn, boxer too? why na. It's just not nice. Was brother going about naked before you started seeing each other?. Abi all his singlets aff turned to 'we were white even hypo can't help our ministry"?. Get him those if you like on another day not on this day abeg. (Lookat me being all judgemental like I haven't given a son of man boxer pant in the past. Chill I was what age then?). Please repent and give better gifts this year (not like I'll be looking sha)

Whatever you get your loved one, I suggest you put a little thoughtfulness in it. Get them what they'll actually be using. I for example is not really into fancy stuff. If you get me a teddy, after that day be rest assured it will become my second pillow (Don't beat me abeg) Don't just buy something for him/her because, your friend is getting the same thing for his/her spouse. Here are some ideas:

Shirts/ dresses:
You can get a shirt or, two for your valentine.
Anytime bae puts on the shirt or dress, he/she thinks of you. Perfect.

Bracelets/wristwatches:
Bracelets are cool romantic and classy. I bet she'll love them😊. Someone like me will never take it off my wrist unless to have my bath
When you get bae a wristwatch, there'll be no more excuses like. "I'm sorry, I wasn't able to make it. I lost track of time". A wristwatch is also perfect for bae so, when you two have an appointment by let's say 10 am, she won't still be 'almost there' by 12 pm. I won't suggest you get a magic mirror else, you might catch her still struggling with her eye liner. (No amaka disappoint me this year please.)

Perfume oils:
Especially for people on budget or scholars. You can get bae a perfume oil. They're quite cheap but their unique and long lasting scents can be passed for a million dollar. I'm not exaggerating.

Edibles:
They are very important. Food is always bae. You can get for bae chocolates (for those that like them). Cupcakes, lunch dates, order food,cook and invite bae over or, cook and take to bae's place if you can't afford the luxury. Whatever, please add food to the menu.

You don't need to get red bottoms if you can't afford them. Get their sizes. (Don't ask them directly biko it'll be so unromantic) you can get it through a friend or, colleague. I read somewhere that one get noticed from his/her shoes first. I don't know how true that is.

Car:
I saved this as the last because, this is the most important. I'm not really talking about the bae you're in a relationship with. I'm talking about the bae that you owns this blog. Yea yea ME.

Even if you can't afford anything reasonable for bae, you can spend quality time together. Even if your in a LDR, we thank God for the invention of mobile phones. Someone that loves you truly will not really mind as long you actually can't afford material stuff and not a stingy kpako.

I also read somewhere( Don't roll your eye abeg as far as it ain't school stuff, I like to read especially if it's none of my business). I read that if Bae stays with you tomorrow,you're the real bae.
If he disappears only to show up the next day, you're a side chick.
And if he shows up few days later, you're dating yourself.

Valentine's day is not only for lovers. It's a day set aside to appreciate your loved ones. Not that you shouldn't do that every single day but, you can go extra on this day.
